Former pro ball player scores big with NutriSystem
If you're a baseball fan, you might remember a guy by the name of Frank Hunsaker. He played catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals (and spent a year with the Detroit Tigers) from 1976-1981—but now he's taken it upon himself to, shall we say, redefine "home plate."
Thanks to NutriSystem, Frank says, he has lost 62 lbs.* and is feeling more like a pro than ever. Having started the program this past January, he has slimmed down significantly and notes, "As a former ball player, I know the value of being in shape. I'm currently back at the weight that I played at some 30 years ago. I haven't been at this weight since way back then."
Home Field Advantage
Exactly what is Frank doing these days? He reports he's living happily in Carbondale, Illinois, with his wife Vickie. Together they manage and promote a family fun center in town called S.I. Bowl (Southern Illinois Bowl). Frank says, "We have 3 dogs, 3 grown daughters, and 3 grandchildren. I love to bowl, and hunt, and I love my job!"
When asked why he felt NutriSystem worked for him, he replied simply, "I found NutriSystem to be the easiest way for me to lose the weight. I just eat the food you send, and there's no measuring or counting calories—that's why I like it. The weight came off really easily."
No Squeeze Play
Frank did admit to having a bit of helpful motivation for all of his weight loss. "My friend's wedding is next Saturday. I am going to be in a tuxedo for the first time since 1977—and I wanted to look good!"
He adds, "My wife loves the new me and all the energy I have. She says it's like when we were first married."
From his perspective, Frank feels he's pretty much hit a home run when it comes to regaining his health and self-esteem. "The bottom line is that NutriSystem has allowed me to get back to my old self. Thank you, NutriSystem, for this change in my life. Now I can be proud of who I am again."
