One week free food

Kathy, Janet

"I am a diabetic on an insulin regimen and just since being on NS for three weeks, already my requirements for insulin have started to decrease. I'm working closely with my NS counselor who encourages me to keep in contact with my physician and who is supporting me through all of this. Thank God for NS! I feel like for the first time in years, that I might be able to do this." - Kathy S.

"My daughter got married, her wedding was perfect, and I can't remember the last time I was told so many times how "beautiful" I looked. It felt really good. My son had no idea, either, that I'm such a good dancer! He does Swing dancing, and at 53, I was able to keep up with his 29-year-old pace effortlessly. I held my head proud at that wedding. I'm not done yet, but NutriSystem, I have to say you're doing a really good job. Thank you." - Janet K

"When I decided to join [NutriSystem.com], one of my greatest fears was that I was not going to be full, and hence I would not stick with the program. Well, I just ate lunch and I am stuffed and the food is really great. I am so happy. For once in my life I feel as though I have found what is really going to work for me. I have tried the pills and maybe they work for others, but as for me, well let's just say no one should approach me for positive testimonials. I feel healthy with NutriSystem. I have two jobs and it is not always easy for me to plan my meals. This is so much easier. I just grab something before I leave and I have all of my meals. I have a long way to go, but for once I feel as though I'm going to make it.

My weight came on gradually with years of depression. When the depression left, the weight decided to stick around for awhile. It caused me to go through bouts of depression all over again. One day I decided I just didn't want to be depressed anymore and I didn't want to be heavy anymore. I want to be healthy and happy again. NutriSystem has put me on that road, and I can't stop saying thank-you." - A.

My problem with weight started around 1998 after I retired from the Air Force, you know, “no one can tell me I have to go to the gym any more syndrome”. So 10 yrs later, 50 lbs heavier, high blood pressure / cholesterol, knee/ back problems, physically unfit, and approaching 50 yrs of age, I decided to do something about it. “Nutrisystem for men” you know the diet with Dan Marino. It’s a 28 day program with 2 free weeks of food if you pledge to buy another 28 day’s worth of food, that’s right, all your meals are planned and sent from the company, along with a daily diary to track your progress and on line consultation. Great weight loss starter for me, the food was good, (ok, the thought of the nacho chips cause a gag reflex), but, the $371.00 price tag for 28 days of food was a little too expensive. To date I have lost 17lbs, several inches of body fat, and my blood pressure and cholesterol are under control.

So, now I’m “TRYING, TRYING, TRYING” to focus on a proper diet with portion control, combined with exercise, which includes rapidly walking in place for about an hour (cardio), while pressing 2 ½ to 5 lb dumbbells in various positions for an upper body workout. So far I’ve had success. My knees and back are starting to feel better and due to the weight loss I’m about 5 packs short of a six pack (abs, get it).
