Whipped Sweet Potatoes with Cheese
They say: A favorite that is great any time. You'll love the tasty combination in this healthy, "good carb" lunchtime entree.
I say: I was very leery about trying this. Living in the south I know sweet potatoes. And I'm sorry to say this just doesn't cut the mustard. There's no need to put cheese in sweet potatoes. It's too bland and I seriously doubt any die hard potato lover will be satisfied.
Crispy Ranch Soy Snackers
They say: A crunchy snack chip with a huge spicy ranch flavor that will make you forget that, yes, you're eating healthy.
I say: This was pretty disappointing. A bit to peppery for my liking and unlike the Crispy Nacho Soy Snackers the seasoning was too bland.
Honey Mustard Chicken w/Vegetables
They say: You'll love this tangy chicken patty served with black beans, carrots, mushrooms and red bell peppers.
I say: The only thing that spared this from becoming a 1-star rating is the sauce and veggies. The chicken was the worse thing. One side was tough. The other? Chewy. I was happy the sauce was just right filled with mushrooms, beans, carrots & red pepper.
Banana Spice Muffin
They say: Puré bananas and fresh cinnamon give this wheat bran muffin a flavor you'll love.
I say: I grudgingly admit this is better than the Lemon Poppyseed Muffin but that doesn't mean much. It has the same chalky aftertaste though the banana spice is easier to swallow than the lemon flavor.
Whole Wheat Deli Roll
They say: The perfect sandwich rolls that fits nicely into your NutriSystem Nourish meal plan.
I say: I'm still not a fan of the breads, but nuking it for 15 seconds as instructed made it better than the Whole Wheat Roll.
Flame Broiled Beef Patty
They say: There's no depriving yourself with this great-tasting hamburger.
I say: My first freeze dried styled meal. Bleeech! While it smells flame broiled, it takes many many many chews to taste the burger. I put it down on my plate and the burger sorta crumbled. To be fair, I was supposed to put the pouch in a bowl of boiling water. I don't have access to it so I zapped in the microwave on a low setting. I put it in the Whole Wheat Roll and wrapped both in a damp paper towel. While that helped soften the bun it did nothing for the "patty". If there is a next time I'll make it like the instructed.
Whole Wheat Roll
They say: A healthy whole wheat roll that makes a great sandwich alternative to white bread.
I say: They need to work on the pre-slicing, I couldn't get it to open. It may have helped if I warmed it up. It's a bit tough. But if the choice is between this or store bought, I'll buy my own rolls thankyouverymuch.
