Vegetarian Chili
They say: Fresh diced tomatoes, kidney beans, and lentils make it hearty; the combination of jalapeno peppers and chili powder gives it just enough zip to make it seem like homemade.
I say: Very filling. Comes in a large bowl with lotsa beans. The lentils were a nice surprise. I could definitely taste the chili powder. The peppers gave it a kick, so have some water handy.

I say: Although this is like a fraternal twin to the Thin Crust Pizza with Cheese, I like it more. The added mushrooms and peppers gave it a more "real" pizza taste.

They say: Enjoy a traditional meatball sandwich with your favorite whole wheat or whole grain bread or roll.
I say: DEEEELISH! With mini meatballs & a tangy sauce it is one of the BEST lunches they have. Taking a cue from the NutriSystem Support Boards, I made this into a hero. Hours later I was still thinking about it. It was that good.
Pasta Fagioli
They say: With vegetarian sausage and fresh tomatoes, this pasta dish is a great tasting way to get the protein you need and all the flavor you deserve.
I say: This is a new meal, released in Fall 2004. I'm game for anything pasta and this didn't disappoint. Lots of veggies and beans. I didn't even realize it was a vegetarian meal. The flavorful seasoning on the sausage chunks fooled my taste buds.
Crispy Nacho Soy Snackers
They say: You'll think our nacho soy chips are from south of the border! This healthy version of the favorite snack includes 12 grams of protein in addition to loads of great taste.
I say: WOW I loved these! The bag was full of chips and the nacho seasoning was quite generous. Some chips even had it on both sides...WOOT!

Mint Hot Cocoa

I say: YUM! It smelled like the Mint Chocolate Decadence Bar. I was leery about it being minted. Mint tea? Sure but Mint Chocolate? It just didn't sound appealing. So glad I was wrong!
Flame Broiled Beef Patty with Cheese
The say: Enjoy all the flavor of a classic cheeseburger, including skim mozzarella cheese that you can serve on a healthy whole grain or whole wheat roll.
I say: WOW! This was AMAZING! My first taste of the Flame Broiled Beef Patty was a disappointment. But it was my bad. I didn't follow the directions. Not today. The cheese looked like it came from the Thin Crust Pizza with Cheese. It was shredded, and not sliced as the picture implies. Not that it mattered. The taste & smell speak for themselves.
Cheese Ravioli with Basil Tomato Sauce
They say: A rich tomato sauce plus a special blend of mozzarella, ricotta, and Italian cheeses makes this classic irresistible.
I say: Given that this meal is a kissin' cousin to Cheese and Spinach Ravioli with Meat Sauce I gave it 5 stars before my first bite. Just as tasty, although my unsophisticated taste buds couldn't detect the basil.
Chocolate Shake
They say: Aside from its creamy chocolate flavor, our shakes have a protein supplement to help you lose weight.
I say: This was indeed quite creamy. I also like the additional protein. Hey it's chocolate, no complaints here.

I say: LOVED LOVED LOVED this. Don't let the small container fool you. It is packed with beans and beef and an extremely tasty sauce. Very hearty and filling. I wish it came with a slice of bread so I could scrape the bowl clean.
Classic Tuna Salad
They say: Tuna pre-mixed for your convenience with salad dressing, celery and water chestnuts. Serve with Sesame Crackers.
I say: Deliciously tangy, it must be the salad dressing. I just about scraped the can clean to get every drop. I'm not sure what Sesame Crackers they refer to, but it went well with the Whole Wheat Melba Toast.

I say: YUM!!!! It's like a compressed Snickers bar without the gooey caramel and nougat. About the length & width of my ring finger with slivers of peanuts.

Vanilla Wafers
They say: A favorite for generations, crisp browned cookies with a subtle vanilla flavor.
I say: Taste just like the original 'Nilla wafers. 100 calories & my pack had about 8. My advice? Eat slow!

Spicy Oriental Noodles with Vegetables and Peanuts
They say: You'll love the flavor of the chinese noodles in this entré.
I say: YUM YUM YUM! It was full of noodles, think ramen style, and green beans. Not too spicy, more peppery so it's hot but doesn't burn when eating. Could have used more peanuts though.
Mint Chocolate Decadence Bar
They say: Deep dark chocolate fudge with a hint of mint.
I say: This is like a York Peppermint Patty, if they made the white part chocolate. How can you not love it? Very very gooey and tasty.

Three Cheese Pasta with Chicken

I say: When I found myself putting the bowl to my mouth so I could drink the remaining sauce I knew this was a winner. Yummers! The creamy sauce is cheesy and flavorful. The veggies make it a nice light dinner.

I say: Very very creamy and quite tasty. Tasted like it was homemade.

I say: So so GOOD! The noodles were firm, the sauce was just like they said, light & creamy. It had zucchini! Albeit dried.

I say: Umm mmm mmm...I'm still smacking my lips over this dish. The tasty sauce that was just thick enough when done. Noodles held firm and the beef bits were nicely seasoned. Ummm mmm!
Beef with Peppercorn Sauce and Vegetables
They say: Flavorful peppercorn sauce makes for a classic dinner combination.
I say: I've been avoiding this like the plague. It was left over from my first order and for some reason I got the impression it wouldn't be good. I think the term "peppercorn sauce" is what scared me off. How wrong I've been. Tasty savory sauce with a couple of string beans and some corn. However, there is much more sauce and way less beef & veggies than shown in the picture.
Cheesy Homestyle Potatoes with Broccoli
They say: Delectable combination of potatoes and broccoli in a rich cheddar cheese sauce.
I say: As they say it's not part of the Nourish program but someone asked me to check it out. I LOVED this. Not unlike most instant mix mashed potatoes it was easy to make. I could have done without the flakes of broccoli and used the real thing, but that's just being nitpicky. It was creamy and cheesy. *drool*

I say: Ummm Ummm Ummm, I'm still smacking my lips from this treat. I put in just enough water so the sauce was creamy without being runny. I also added a couple stalks of broccoli to bulk it up a bit. Firm noodles and a nice flavored sauce makes this one of my very favorite meals.
Cheese and Spinach Ravioli with Meat Sauce
They say: You'll crave our tender ravioli seasoned with parsley and basil, then stuffed with fresh spinach, ricotta, mozzarella and Romano cheeses.
I say: If pasta, cheese & sauce are ever wrong, I never want to be right. Two fairly large raviolis stuffed with cheese, not swimming in as much sauce as the picture, but just enough and chunky enough.
Seafood Newburg
They say: This classic entré includes shrimp and noodles in a fresh-tasting Newburg sauce.
I say: OMG, this is the first meal I am trying not to scarf down. Their description doesn't do it justice. It's creamy, it's yummy, it's tasty. It's seafood! And next to pasta, I LOVE seafood. I'm so happy I tried it before the reorder shipped and was able to drop some so-so meat dishes for 2 more. Hey I don't want to be greedy and take 28 days worth of it, I could. Heh. But I won't. Where's a higher rating than 5 stars when you need it? I did lose some of the sauce due to overflow in the microwave. Hmph! I also used soy milk instead of water, not sure if that or the lost sauce made it a bit too thick. Next time, and there will be next time, I'll do 1/2 water & 1/2 soy milk and watch the microwave like a clock.
Chocolate Mochaccino Dessert Bar

I say: NOTHING with the word chocolate can steer you wrong in my book. It had a layer of white (icing?) on top not shown in the picture. Yea that was yummy too!

I say: If you like Quakers Oatmeal, you'll love this. Mix with milk (soy milk for extra nutrients) to make it creamier and voila a tasty hot breakfast that'll make you all warm and healthy inside.

I say: Chocolate for breakfast? C'mon. I had this as a snack instead and boy did it hit the sweet spot.

I say: Oooohh this has to be my favorite meal to date. Thick zesty sauce, lotsa pasta & just enough meatballs to top it all off. Bellisimo!

I say: Never met a chocolate I didn't like. Think a crumbly Nestle Crunch bar, heavy on the milk chocolate. Can't wait till I have it again.

For bona fide chocolaholics (you know who you are) there's no sweeter word in the world and no better treat at the end of the day. These bite-sized morsels of milk chocolate have the delicious flavor of chocolate and rich cocoa with just a hint of caramel. They're simple, but they're also proof that simple things can be the best.
Chicken and Pasta in Cacciatore Sauce
They say: Enjoy pasta noodles and real chicken in a flavorful red sauce.
I say: Flavorful sauce is an understatement. There were chunks of tomatoes, onions & olives and the smell was incredible.
Chicken Pasta Parmesan
They say: Real Parmesan cheese, healthy pasta and white meat chicken make this pasta dish simply delish.
I say: I am a sucker for all things pasta, and this hit the spot. Though a bit skimpy on the chicken, I counted about 4-5 cubes, the pasta was firm with enough sauce to sustain the 2 cups of veggies I poured in. Next time I'll add a fat free mozzarella cheese to seal the delectable deal.
Scrambled Eggs - Smoke Flavor
They say: Made with real eggs, our scrambled egg mix gives you a quick and simple way to have a great breakfast any day of the week.
I say: I rated these higher than the Scrambled Eggs with Peppers and Mushrooms because I added my own vegetables and it was a big improvement. It's such a huge portion that by using a bowl, adding 1/3 cup of mixed vegetables and a slice of fat free cheese, I felt like I "cooked" it myself. Double yum!
Chicken Salad
They say: Made with light mayonnaise, red bell peppers, celery and water chestnuts, this isn't your ordinary chicken salad.
I say: Ohhh I liked this. Remembering the Tuna Salad I was prepared this time. First I ditched the Whole Wheat Roll and used flat bread instead. It's the bread they use on Gyros. Next I added a slice of fat free mozzarella cheese. With a side of carrots and yogurt, quite a satisfying dinner.
Thin Crust Pizza with Cheese
They say: With skim mozzarella cheese, zesty red sauce and a crisp thin crust, you've got a personal pizza that's sure to satisfy.
I say: Comparing this to my old reliable personal pan pizza I about keeled over when I opened this. The crust? The perimeter is about the size of my hand, including fingers. The sauce was very thick and looked like tomato paste, cheese looked ok. The taste was pretty good. Afterwards, I realized the crust was very pita like. The sauce was tangy. I was going to top it with my a bowl of veggies, but the poor thing was so slender I didn't want to hurt it. Heh.
Updated 12/2006 NEW RECIPE! Eat pizza and still lose weight? It hardly seems possible, but it's true. Just spread the rich, flavorful tomato sauce over the crust, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and bake until the cheese melts and the crust turns golden-brown. Go wild if you want: add some sprinkles of Parmesan cheese, sautéed peppers, onions or a few sliced olives. It's like a new meal every time!
Vegetable Lasagna with Meat Sauce
They say: We think we made it just like grandma's thick noodles, ricotta cheese and a homestyle tomato sauce.
I say: OMG I totally wolfed this down, it was so delicious. I added 2 cups of mixed veggies in it and went to town. The pasta was nice and firm, the sauce was well seasoned and I didn't miss meat one single bit.
Apple Cinnamon Soy Chips
They say: Satisfy your hunger with apple and cinnamon flavors on a crunchy, protein-packed soy chip.
I say: Ok until reading what they said I didn't grasp it was a protein thing. Cool beans. I had these one afternoon when the munchies kicked in. One thing I'm learning is the portions are just enough that when you are finished you really really want another bite but about 10 minutes later you are totally fine.
